On paper & social media, "Alice" looks like she's doing okay. She looks like me and you, making magic happen and enjoying a carefree life, but her bank account tells another story (as do many of ours).

Seven months ago I got the wild idea to run for office, as County Commissioner, of my district in Chattanooga, TN. I survived. And now that the election is over (spoiler alert, I lost my race), I'm reconstructing my old life, with a twist: a civic twist.
